How smiles returned to Oxford's independant traders
We were approached by Oxford City Council to create a campaign to help increase footfall and trade, in one of our favourite cultural and retail venues – the Covered Market Oxford.
The Market dates back to the 1770’s and has a long, varied and interesting heritage. Unfortunately, due to footfall falling and the development of other large, modern retail centres – business was severely down.
Shopping locally
Some of the businesses in the covered market have passed through many generations of Oxford families.
The campaign reminded viewers that Christmas shopping could be a fun and festive family experience. It did this by capturing moving portraits of proud family owned businesses – harking back to an era before big retail brands. Christmas is about connection.
Seen by over 1 Million resulting in a 40% increase in footfall*
